1942 Hamilton Myron - 10K Gold Filled.
A marvelous piece of American watchmaking history! An original 1942 American made Hamilton Myron with a 10K gold filled case, distinct lugs, two toned champagne dial that appears to have been refinished, although we cannot confirm this. The original alpha hands are sharp, the applied Paris Antique numerals are solid 18K gold, the crown appears to be factory original, and so is the thick curved "fish bowl" crystal. Comes with a new old stock aftermarket textured black leather strap.
This piece has a special inscription on the caseback and was a Christmas gift to Donald Horton on Christmas 1942. The inscription reads:

Movement: Hamilton USA Made Mechanical Manual Wind Cal. 980 - 17 Jewels. Time only. Sub seconds. Runs and keeps time within +/- 12 seconds per day.
In excellent condition. Light wear consistent with age. We suspect the dial has been refinished, but we cannot confirm. Crystal is clean. Aftermarket strap is new old stock and is good for daily use. See photos for details - they are part of the description. Overall a very nice piece that is ready to wear and enjoy.
